4th and 5th grade students at St. Gabriel School are invited to proclaim God's Word at our Wednesday parish Masses during the school year.

How It Works

1. Student attends one training session

• Monday, 3:00–4:00 pm
• In the church
• Parish staff will walk students to the church after school.
• Parents pick up their child at the church.
  
  

2. Learn and practice

During training, students will:

• Practice approaching the ambo.
• Learn to use the microphone.
• Practice proclaiming Scripture with confidence and reverence.
  
  

3. Prepare at home

Students will receive their assigned reading(s) and Mass date(s) to practice with a parent before serving.

4. Serve at Mass

• Each training session prepares students to read at one or more upcoming Wednesday Masses. 
• Two students serve as readers at each Mass. 
• Mrs. Cosgrove (St. Gabriel School Religion Coordinator) will sit with readers.

• November 16 (Will read at Mass Dec. 2)
