All clergy, religious, seminarians, employees, and volunteers in the Diocese of Charlotte are required to complete a background check and safe environment abuse prevention and education training.
Once safe environment certified, annual renewal training is required.

Safe Environment certification steps
ACTIVE volunteers only
If you CURRENTLY volunteer in our parish:
Login to your CMG account following the instructions on the DOC webpage below. Do NOT create a new account!
On your Dashboard page, check your Certification Status
If your certification is expired, complete the required online training labeled Safe Environment Training & Background Check for volunteers. You may need up to 1.5 hours to complete the separate modules.
If your certification is not expired, you are finished for now. The CMG Connect system will notify you by email when it is time to log back in and complete your assigned training.
