Outreach to El Carmen, Guatemala
Now coordinated by St. Vincent de Paul Church2022-2024 Outreach coordinated by St. Gabriel Church
El Carmen Mission is located in southeast Guatemala, in a mountainous village of 1,200 people. Our parish hosted mission trips in 2022 - 2024 to this highly impoverished area, providing critical home repairs, basic health and school supplies, making home visits, and bringing the Good News of Jesus through Bible school and daily Mass. Support was generously provided through our Christmas Giving Tree and designated financial gifts.
2025 Outreach Transition to St. Vincent de Paul Church
The outreach to El Carmen is now coordinated by St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Charlotte. While our parish no longer directly oversees this mission, we are confident that under the leadership of Fr. Voitus, pastor, this important work will continue to grow and flourish.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who supported this mission over the years and invite you to remain spiritually connected. If you feel called, we encourage you to support the mission as it continues at St. Vincent de Paul.
